Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign up for the Breakout Sessions?

There are two, one on the 1st day and one on the 2nd day. The sign up process is through the meeting wiki, as follows:

Go to the Discussion Wiki
and enter login: wiki-user and password: wellness
click on the last entry, “New! Sign-up for breakout sessions here”

Once there, click on just one of the breakout topics per day, so a total of two.
Day 1 (6/4) topics are Privacy, Efficacy, Adherence, Healthcare, Science, and Empowerment.
Day 2 (6/5) topics are Socialization, Location, Wearables, Activity, and Embodiment.

There are 12 slots for each breakout topic, and the sign up process is first come, first served; we need to balance all topics so we can get input on key issues concerning the program.

Who should attend the meeting? Can co-PIs also attend, or just PIs of funded projects?

PIs and co-PIs are all welcome to attend. There is no registration fee.

Is there any funding for travel reimbursement for PIs and co-PIs?

As per the guidelines in the program RFP, PIs and co-PIs are expected to have budgeted for annual PI meetings in their grant travel budget. Therefore, no travel reimbursement can be provided by NSF for PIs and co-PIs attending this meeting, but every effort has been made to minimize the lodging costs of the meeting hotel.

Do I have to bring a poster?

Yes! Each funded project should bring at least one poster. See the Posters page for more details.

How many posters can be brought per funded grant?

Up to 3 poster can be brought per funded grant.

Will I be presenting my poster?

No. Attendees will not be conducting individual poster presentations. Attendees can discuss their posters during the poster session. See the Agenda for details.

How will I display my poster?

An easel will be provided by the venue. Posters can be brought in poster tubes or, if desired, mounted on foam board.

What size should the poster be?

The standard size for poster board presentations are 28″ x 22″.

When will the meeting end?

The meeting will end at noon on Wednesday, June 5th after which box lunches will be provided.
